Some people think getting to know their neighbors is an important part of a community, but after watching a series of TikToks about a Karen threatening to murder a dog for a WiFi password, you might not ever make eye contact on your street again.
The videos are posted to the Content Hub TikTok account where they went viral, though the footage was originally posted to the subreddit r/PublicFreakout. It seems to be shot by a young girl whose parents aren't home, talking to a woman outside who grows increasingly abusive as the girl refuses to give in.
"I live here! It’s illegal," she starts. "Come outside, let’s talk. Give me the f—king WiFi before you get arrested, and your mom."
Threatening to get her mom arrested already seems like a huge escalation, but it gets even worse. She starts threatening the life of the girl's dog, who is watching her from inside the house, too.
"You want me to try that way, or you want your dog to come dead?" she asks. "I have ways in, and your dog won’t be breathing tomorrow."
"You have two seconds to give me the WiFi," she continues. "Dog. Doggie? Dead. You’re not gonna f—k with me. Because when you’re outside by yourself one day, you’re gonna be f—ked."
"What are you gonna do? Find a new one?" she adds. "You’re not gonna f—k with my life, little b—tch."
At one point, the girl taping starts to say that someone needs to call Optimum for the password, implying that she doesn't even have it! And the Karen states she has a "psychology class" to log onto, which is so much to unpack.
In the OP's comments on Reddit, it was explained slightly that this woman is living in the house's basement and is the former girlfriend of the cinematographer's brother, with whom she has four kids. They're no longer together and they haven't been able to get her evicted yet, and the dog threats are just the tip of the iceberg.
Honey, keep filming. This isn't just viral content, it's evidence.
